
FIANCEE VISA.
The UK Fiancee Visa is for engaged partners of British or Irish nationals, people who have settled in the UK, people with pre-established status, people with a Turkish business or Turkish work visa and people with refugee or humanitarian protection status who want to enter the UK and get married within 6 months of arrival. An application for a British Bridal visa must be made outside of the United Kingdom.
The British Bridal Visa does not lead directly to settlement in the UK. However, once you are married in the UK, you will be able to apply for an extension of stay in the UK on a spousal visa . A British spousal visa can lead to indefinite leave to remain or settle in the UK after 5 years.
Requirements for a British Bridal Visa
In order to qualify for a British fiancée visa, you will need to satisfy British visa and immigration requirements that you meet the following requirements:
Your partner is British or Irish, has settled in the UK, has been granted pre-settlement status, has a Turkish entrepreneur or Turkish worker’s visa, refugee or humanitarian protection status;
You are both over the age of 18;
You have met in person;
Your relationship is genuine and existing;
You intend to marry within six months of arriving in the UK;
Any previous relationship has broken down permanently;
You intend to live together permanently in the UK;
You will be properly maintained in the UK without recourse to public funds;
Adequate housing is available for you and any dependents;
You speak and understand English at the required level.

Partner-sponsor status
To qualify for a UK bride visa, your partner must:
Be a British or Irish citizen in the UK; or
Have indefinite leave to remain, settled status or permanent residence in the UK; or
Have pre-established status under the EU Schedule; or
Have restricted leave to remain a Turkish businessman or Turkish worker under the ECAA Schedule; or
Have residency or humanitarian protection status in the UK.
A UK citizen in the UK includes a UK citizen who comes to the UK with you as your partner. Having an indefinite leave to remain in the U.K. includes a person who is admitted for permanent residence for the same reason as you.
Minimum age for a fiancée visa
You and your partner must be over the age of 18 on the date you apply for a fiancée visa.
UK fiancée visa requirements
The requirement for a British bride visa includes various elements:
You and your partner must not be in a forbidden degree of relationship;
You and your partner must meet in person;
Your relationship must be genuine and lasting;
You must come to the UK so that your marriage can take place in the UK within 6 months of your arrival;
Any previous relationship must be permanently severed;
You and your partner must intend to live together permanently in the UK.
Prohibited degree of relationship requirement
To be eligible for a British bride visa, you and your fiancé must not be in a prohibited degree of relationship as defined in the Marriage Act 1949 and the Marriage (Prohibited Degrees of Relationship) Act 1986.
This means that you and your fiancé must not be related in any of the following ways:
foster child
Foster parent.
Child
Former foster child
Former foster parent
grandparent
grandchild
Parent
Parent’s sibling
Brother or sister
Brother or sister’s child
In this list, “brother” means brother, sister, half-brother, or half-sister.
A proposed marriage between a person and any person on the following list will not qualify for a bridal visa until both parties are 21 years old and provided that the younger party was not a child of the family to the other party before reaching age 18:
Child of a former civil partner
Ex-spouse’s child
Grandparent’s former civil partner
Ex-civil partner of a parent
Former spouse of grandparent
Former spouse of parent
Grandchild of former civil partner
Grandson of former spouse
Requiring a face-to-face meeting
You and your fiancé must have met in person. The “met” requirement means that you must be able to demonstrate a face-to-face meeting that resulted in a mutual acquaintance. A mere face-to-face encounter followed by telephone or written contact does not satisfy the requirements for a British bride visa.
Requirement of a genuine and existing relationship
In order to qualify for a British bride visa, you must provide the Home Office with proof that your relationship with your partner is a genuine and existing relationship .
Decisions about whether a relationship is genuine and ongoing are made on a case-by-case basis, taking into account all available evidence and individual circumstances.
